Alex started his career as a chef working his way to a very high standard of fine dining working with the likes of Marco Pierre White.
Having started a family Alex decided he wished to spend more time with them and in keeping with his catering experience he thought he would try his hand at butchery.
Ambition and dedication to the art of butchery, Alex has taken on the role of Co Owner dedicating his efforts to maintain the highest of standards is both sourcing and cutting to the highest quality.
Nigel Smith Senior Butcher
Nigel has been in the industry for over 40 years, so it’s fair to say he will most likely be able to answer any questions you might have. Having lived on a farm and going along to market with his dad as a child, Nigel has seen the all aspects of the processes involved from breeding to the table.
Now wishing to take time away from the business side of the butchers the reigns are being handed over to Alex and Becky to continue the serving the community.
Becky Fenton Co Owner
As Co Owner with her husband Alex you will find Becky supporting the business in the back room dotting the 'i' and crossing the 't' to ensure no interruption is made the service provided to you by those in shop. She is vital to the success of the business moving forward.
John Nottingham Butcher John learnt the trade through working as a Saturday boy in a Butchers shop in London and as a young lad he went and worked in Smithfield market. He left the trade for some years, but having missed the trade for many years he is now back and raring to go again.
Alfie Knight Butcher
As you can guess from his name he knows what its all about! Some of you may remember Alfie as being our cheeky young apprentice for a couple of years, well he is back and has gained some rather incredible experiences while away having worked at Windsor farm shop as well as working for the royal household. we are very pleased to welcome Alfie back.
